New Business Identification Signs:
Signs and other devices (excluding inflatable devices) may be displayed for a maximum of 120 days per calendar year. Until permanent signs can be erected, a minimum of two temporary signs for the identification of a new business are allowed for a period not to exceed 60 days. A one-time extension of 30 days may be granted by the Director of Planning. Maximum sign area shall not exceed 40 square feet. Signs and other devices (excluding inflatable devices) may be displayed for a maximum of 30 days within a 90-day period to promote a particular event, sale or product. The total area of all temporary signs and banners for each business shall not exceed 40 square feet. Signs shall not be painted on any surface other than glass windows or doors.
